Personal Note & Clarification

Readers, “Hey Ringo, be perfect.”

Ringo, “You be perfect.”

Recently I became informed that one of the tweets on my Twitter account violated their rules. I felt the punishment was excessively harsh and unfair, but it is what it is. There’s nothing I can do about it. It’s their ball, their rules. It’s probably for the best anyway. There are too many trolls on there looking to bring fantasy football analysts like me down anyway. Also, it’s upsetting reading about how upside-down the world is now- both from social media and tv. I miss being a kid- where all I had to worry about back then was playing baseball or basketball with my friends.

When I first joined Twitter, I never intended to talk about anything other than fantasy football. Unfortunately, the world has gone through major changes recently. Many of these changes such as lengthy lockdowns and mandates for a new and unproven vaccine, were awful and not for the better. I’m not anti-vax. I’ve had plenty of them. But I am cautious and I don’t like being forced to take something I’m uncomfortable with, against my will. That’s wrong. I couldn’t care less what others do. You do you. I never foresaw anything like that happening in my lifetime- certainly not in the U.S. Two weeks to “flatten the curve” turned into two years plus for many. For those reasons I felt the need to go off topic from fantasy football to voice my concerns and frustrations at the terrible public health policy which was imposed. It has been a very challenging and stressful few years, to say the least, for many people, myself included. Anyway, the tweet was poorly worded and did not come across as it was intended. That said, and just to make it crystal clear, I am a law-abiding citizen. In no way was I trying to imply anyone should harm anyone else or break the law. Do not break the law- ever! What I was attempting to say was, anyone who forced others to get a vaccine against their will, well, if those people in charge, dictating orders at the time, knew the vaccine was unsafe, and lied about it to the public to intentionally harm folks or disregarded the safety of the public just for their own financial gain, they should be held accountable for their actions by being prosecuted through our legal system, given a fair trial, and, if found guilty by a jury, should be sentenced/punished for the harm they have caused- such as jail time. If found guilty, some of them would be guilty of violating the Hippocratic Oath which states, “Do No Harm.”

I care about my fellow citizens. It breaks my heart to see some of them suffering. Hopefully, some of you will eventually realize that. Okay, enough with that off topic stuff. Let’s get back to football. I will still attempt to write a few fantasy football articles and player notes every so often, filled with terrible advice and even more incredibly bad jokes.
