The ADP is too Damn High — Fantasy Football Sleepers and Busts

I represent the ADP is too damn high party. People are working eight hours a day, forty hours a week. Many have no choice, but to get a second job. Fantasy owners can’t afford to draft some of these QBs, RBs, WRs, and TEs at their current ADP prices. My main job is to provide sound fantasy football advice that helps owners get a lifetime of bragging rights over their friends, sleepers and busts on their table, and money in their pockets. This is politics as usual by analysts in the industry playing the silly game. Listen, did you hear it? A child’s stomach just growled due to hunger. You have to listen like I do. Fantasy owners can’t afford to feed their children because of the players listed below at their current prices. Why? You know why. Because the ADP is too damn high!

QBs
Dak Prescott ADP QB 10- Head coach Mike McCarthy stated the reason former offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore, is gone is because he wanted to pass it too much. McCarthy wants to run the ball. That’s bad news for everyone involved in the Cowboys’ passing attack, including Dak.

Kyler Murray ADP QB 24- Kyler is coming off a torn ACL. A big part of his fantasy value relies on his rushing ability. Will Murray be able to make quick cuts on his surgically repaired knee less than a year from surgery? In addition, the Cardinals figure to be in the running for the top pick in next year’s draft. There’s little incentive for them to bring Kyler back in a rebuilding year.

RBs

Tony Pollard ADP RB 7- The word on the street is that Pollard won’t hold up if given too heavy a workload. And if that’s not enough, he’s coming off a broken leg.

Josh Jacobs ADP RB 8- The Raiders’ offensive line is shaky and if newly signed QB Jimmy Garoppolo goes down, their offense could be in deep trouble. In addition, Jacobs was not happy with the Raiders’ contract offer. He finally signed, but it’s only a one-year deal. Will Jacobs have the motivation to play through injuries as the season progresses?

Travis Etienne ADP RB 12- The Jaguars have already said they want to reduce Etienne’s workload. They also drafted Tank Bigsby last April. Doug Pederson could use Bigsby in short yardage to vulture TDs from Etienne in the red zone.

Breece Hall ADP RB 19- Hall is coming off a torn ACL. The Jets finally showed their poker hand when they signed free agent RB Dalvin Cook. It’s clear, Hall isn’t getting a bell cow role anytime soon.

Cam Akers ADP RB 22- The Rams didn’t upgrade their offensive line in the offseason. This is the same Rams’ line which struggled mightily last year. In addition, Kyren Williams could be a larger factor in the passing game than many fantasy analysts realize, at the expense of Akers.

WRs

Cee Dee Lamb ADP WR 7- See reason listed for Dak Prescott.

Davante Adams ADP WR 8- The Raiders’ offensive line is shaky at best. And if anything happens to Jimmy Garoppolo, it’s Brian Hoyer or Aidan O’Connell running the offense.

Deebo Samuel ADP WR 19- Samuel was great when he handled the rushing duties, especially in the red zone. Unfortunately, with Christian McCaffrey and a stable of heathy RBs behind him, that seems unlikely. And without those rushing stats, Deebo loses his edge over WRs in that ADP price range. In thirteen games last season, Deebo had over 100 receiving yards, once. Once!

Drake London ADP WR 25- London plays for one of the most run heavy teams in the league. As if that’s not enough, Kyle Pitts is back. In addition, the book is still out on Desmond Ridder. Accuracy isn’t one of his strengths.

TEs

Darren Waller ADP TE 5- When Waller plays, he has the potential to be a difference maker. However, when’s the last time Waller was healthy? TE 5 is a pretty lonely place to find out.

Pat Freiermuth ADP TE 9- The Steelers figure to lean heavily on the run. When they pass, George Pickens is their go-to-guy, but wait there’s more. Pittsburgh brought in WR Allen Robinson and drafted TE Darnell Washington. Both are big bodies who could vulture TDs in the red zone. Finally, can Kenny Pickett take another step forward? He’ll need to improve on seven TDs in thirteen games from last season.

Chigoziem Okonkwo ADP TE 13- The Titans’ offense revolves around RB Derrick Henry. They also signed free agent WR DeAndre Hopkins, who joins Treylon Burks. That’s a lot of competition for a small piece of the passing pie.
